Accidental Allies is the musical baby of Neville Rose, with regular collaborations with singers, musicians and DJs. 

The music has been described by Mishka DJ as “at the intersection of melodic techno and deep house… evoking extremely positive emotions… the guys don’t stand still in finding new sources of inspiration.” Everything from old-school love film vibes where magical female vocals combine with dreamy strings to a Balearic-inspired house where pumping deep bass tingles with Spanish guitar hooks.

Having learned to play the guitar at age 15, Neville first played in a band called Warehouse, and their first few songs recorded on a 4-track recorder immediately went to no1 - albeit in the Bournemouth Echo newspaper! Guitar still influences his music, and he enjoys blending acoustic sounds with electronica to create mood and atmosphere. 

Early musical influences include Pink Floyd, Nick Drake, Radiohead, and progressive house DJs of the early 90s - Accidental Allies has evolved from electronic-acoustic to where it now sits somewhere between experimental and deep house, and in addition to writing, recording, and producing music - Neville now DJs, performing a mix of original AA tunes with mainstream deep house - he loves to share his enjoyment of music with others and considers DJing the best way to make that connection.

A co-production titled Spinnin’ with US-based singer Onnadi saw over 10,000 Spotify plays in the first week of release. Neville is also co-resident DJ for ‘Deep and Funky’ house nights to packed crowds on the dance floor at the Mucky Duck in Winchester. The monthly nights have been described by the manager as ‘spectacular’.  

Accidental Allies continues to look for collaborators to create inspiring, genre-defying music and to do more DJing - which has now become a real passion.
